Even before the election of the new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Insaf split into different factions.
According to the sources, 6 members including Barrister Sultan Mehmood were absent from the PTI Parliamentary Party meeting yesterday. Forward Block and Barrister Sultan Group offered conditional support to the opposition through the Prime Ministership.
Sources have claimed that Sultan Mehmood has agreed with the PPP that his nominee will be the prime minister’s candidate, while Barrister Sultan’s meeting with Bilawal is also being claimed. According to reports, a meeting of the Legislative Assembly has been called at 2 pm today, in which the election for the post of Prime Minister is likely.
The opposition has claimed the support of 30 members, while the government cannot be formed without the help of PT
members.
On the other hand, in the case of Barrister Sultan’s separation, the number of members of Tehreek-e-Insaf will be reduced to 25. Still, each vote of JKPP and the Muslim Conference can play an important role in electing the Prime Minister of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
