Delay in payment of salaries to 63 coaches of cricket associations, Some coaches have yet to return PCB equipment, delaying payment of salaries: sources
According to the sources, the issue of non-payment of salaries of several coaches of 6 cricket associations (Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh and Southern Punjab) has come up by the Pakistan Cricket Board. As per the 2019 constitution of PCB, the salaries of the coaches of 6 cricket associations were to be paid which has been delayed by 4 months.
Till now 35 coaches of 6 cricket associations could not be paid their salaries. According to PCB sources, out of 150 coaches of 6 cricket associations, the salaries of 87 coaches have been fully paid. The reason for the delay in the salaries of 35 coaches is the settlement issue of some coaches while some coaches have not yet returned the PCB equipment due to which the payment of salaries has been delayed.
PCB officials say that out of the 63 coaches who have not been paid, 28 coaches will be paid by this week. The salaries of the remaining 35 coaches of cricket associations will be paid by the last week of April after all issues are resolved.
Meanwhile, the election process of 60 District Visional Cricket Associations across the country has been completed a few days ago, after which the election schedule of Lahore region was also released. Cricket Association Lahore Region elections are scheduled on April 11 at LCCA ground.
